What is involved in a Dietician consultation?

  • Initial Assessment: The consultation begins with an initial assessment where the dietician gathers information about the client’s medical history, lifestyle, dietary habits, and health goals. This helps the dietitian understand the client’s unique needs and challenges.
  • InBody Scan Test: The InBody scan is a non-invasive body composition analysis that provides detailed information about the client’s body fat percentage, muscle mass, water retention, and other metrics. This information helps the dietician tailor dietary recommendations to support the client’s body composition goals, whether it’s weight loss, muscle gain, or overall health improvement.
  • Redox Test: The Redox test measures the body’s oxidative stress levels, which is a key factor in assessing overall health and wellness. Oxidative stress occurs when there’s an imbalance between free radicals and antioxidants in the body, potentially leading to various health issues. The Redox test helps the dietitian identify any imbalances and recommend dietary strategies to support antioxidant status and reduce oxidative stress.
  • Customised Dietary Plan: Based on the information gathered from the initial assessment, InBody scan, and Redox test results, the dietician creates a customised dietary plan tailored to the client’s specific needs and goals. This plan may include recommendations for calorie intake, macronutrient distribution, meal timing, hydration, and supplementation, as well as strategies for optimising body composition and reducing oxidative stress.
  • Follow-Up and Monitoring: After the initial consultation, the dietician typically schedules follow-up appointments to monitor progress, adjust the dietary plan as needed, and provide ongoing support and guidance. This may involve additional InBody scans and Redox tests to track changes in body composition and oxidative stress levels over time.

Overall, a dietitian consultation involving InBody scan and Redox test is designed to provide comprehensive insight into the client’s health status and nutritional needs, enabling the dietician to develop a personalised dietary plan to support optimal health and wellness.
